Journal Information & Editorial Policies
Current, verifiable information about EJMME governance, publication planning, identifiers, indexing, and charges
Editorial Board role and responsibilities
Appointments are voluntary professional-service roles, confirmed in writing for a renewable two-year term.
Members may receive up to four review invitations per calendar year, depending on subject expertise. Every invitation may be accepted or declined.
Responsibilities
- Advise on the journal’s academic scope, development, and editorial standards.
- Review selected manuscripts within the member’s expertise, subject to availability.
- Contribute to editorial discussions or decisions when specifically invited.
- Promote research integrity, objective assessment, confidentiality, and responsible scholarly communication.
Independence and safeguards
- Declare relevant conflicts of interest and recuse when necessary.
- Keep manuscripts, reviews, and editorial discussions confidential.
- Board membership does not guarantee manuscript acceptance and is not conditional on submitting or publishing an article.
- A member’s name, affiliation, biography, and identifiers are published only after written acceptance and profile approval.
Publication schedule
Planned frequency: quarterly
The inaugural issue is in preparation. Issue dates are announced only after sufficient manuscripts have completed editorial assessment and production. EJMME does not claim an established quarterly publication record before that schedule has been demonstrated.
ISSN registration
Status: registration pending
EJMME does not currently claim an officially assigned ISSN. An identifier and direct registry link will be published only after assignment by the ISSN Network. The previously displayed number was removed because it could not be verified as a valid EJMME ISSN.
Indexing and discoverability
Current status: no inclusion in third-party indexing databases is claimed
EJMME currently supports bilingual article metadata, canonical article pages, a searchable archive, sitemap, RSS feeds, and DOI display when a DOI has been assigned.
Applications to suitable directories and indexing services will be considered only after the journal satisfies each service’s publication-history, quality, and technical requirements. Applications, acceptance, and timelines are controlled by those services and cannot be guaranteed.
Article processing charges
- There is no manuscript submission fee.
- Articles accepted for the inaugural issue are published without an APC.
- For later issues, the current indicative APC is EUR 200 per accepted article. Collection for later-issue APCs is not currently active; the applicable amount and payment terms will be confirmed to authors before any charge becomes due.
- Waivers or discounts may be considered in justified cases.
- Editorial Board service is independent of publication and payment. Members are never required to submit or pay an APC as a condition of appointment.
